Big Day For The Tech Industry

Apple has just released its iOS 6 beta 3 to mobile developers which appears to be Apple Computer’s step in the direction of launching their next generation mobile development platform. It has introduced a new feature in the Settings section where you adjust the volume of navigation voice, set the language on Map display, set change distance display unit from Kilometers to Miles and vice versa, and also choose from the ‘Large’ and “Medium’ display sizes of the Map. Apart from that, this upgrade also includes new icons in the Mail App, more cities with 3 D model on the Map, and a VIP inbox for 4th Generation iPod Touch.

The very day, Steve Ballmer, C.E.O. of Microsoft announced that the preview for Microsoft Office 2013 has been made available to the consumers. The key features of this version comprises of advance Web integration, cloud computing and an easy access to social networking. This upgrade is said to be compatible with several devices, including the ones that work on the Touch-screen technology. This means whether you own a Laptop, Tablet, a Smartphone, or all thee of them, you can easily perform all your Office tasks and
exchange files across different platforms.

Last but nowhere even near the least, Yahoo Inc. has broke the news about their new C.E.O., Marissa Mayer. The lady happens to be an ex-employee of Google who has looked after company’s product design and development for more than 13 years. It was surprising to see Yahoo turning to its arch rival when hunting for their new strategic head of the company. Marissa Mayer was the first female engineer to have joined Google. She has also been appearing in the Fortune Magazine every year since 2008 as one of the America’s 50 Most Powerful Women in Business. And she was the youngest woman ever included to the list in 2008 at the age of 33.

Without the shadow of a doubt, Marissa has a very impressive profile and appears to be the right fit for running and organization of this magnitude. Let’s wait and see how this movie works out and what contributions she can make to uplift the fading image of Yahoo.
